Dr. Backhaus and the team at DGT Medical are truly highly recommended. I am grateful that I made the long journey from Berlin to get help for my dog. The concept is simply wonderful and has given my dog so much quality of life. Even when asking questions by email or phone, you receive a quick response. You are never rushed — they really take their time. I wish there were more veterinarians and practices like this.

The veterinarians in Berlin gave my dog only 1–3 months to live after his spleen ruptured due to tumorous changes and had to be removed. They took away all my hope.
Dr. Backhaus, however, gave me hope again. My dog could — and would — live longer… and in the end, it became 8.5 months (since the emergency surgery in August 2024). This would not have been possible without Dr. Backhaus and his team.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for giving me so many more beautiful months with my dog. Unfortunately, a hemangiosarcoma cannot be cured, but had I not found Dr. Backhaus, I am certain my dog would not have lived those extra months.
