Nutritional Medicine
Food is medicine – when it’s done right. We develop individual feeding concepts based on your animal’s constitution, energetic state, medical history and the 5-E™ health principles.
Individual nutrition as a key to health
Many diseases originate in the gut – and this is exactly where nutritional medicine begins. At the 5-E™ Veterinary Practice, we consider food not just as a source of nutrition but as a targeted therapeutic tool. Based on our diagnostics, we develop individual feeding and micronutrient plans for dogs and cats – tailored to age, health issues, constitution and living environment.
Why is nutritional medicine so important?
Digestion is closely linked to all major body systems – from the immune system to the musculoskeletal system, and even to skin, behaviour and cognitive performance. An unbalanced or unsuitable diet can promote inflammation, allergies, chronic conditions or behavioural problems. That’s why we don’t create standard plans but rely on targeted, medically sound nutritional strategies.

Success Through Individualisation – A Case Example
A young dog with chronic diarrhoea and severe weight loss was unable to stabilise despite high-quality commercial food. After a 5-E™ energy scan, we created an individual feeding plan consisting of hypoallergenic components, selected prebiotics, liver support and targeted gut regeneration.
After six weeks, the stool quality was stable, vitality returned and the dog began to gain weight steadily.
